Demonstratives but not verbs cause non-culmination in Mandarin incremental-theme predicates: Evidence from children and adults [poster]

This paper provides experimental evidence from Mandarin children and adults showing that the source of non-culmination in Mandarin telic incremental-theme predicates are not the verbs but the determiner of the direct object.
